Descripción:
“Familia de acróbatas con mono” is a painting that measure 104 cm high and 90 cm wide.
To make it were used watercolour, ink and pastels on cardboard.
It is at the museum of beaux arts in Suecia.
The colours are bright. Picasso has used colours like white, oranges and pinks to made it.
The shapes are painted without details and the drawing is more important than the colours.
In this painting we can see a man, a woman, a children and a monkey. They are acrobats and represent a family. These characters appear in a lot of works of Picasso. All paintings with these characters; the father, the mother, the son and the animal, belong to the same period, the pink period.

Conexión con el momento histórico:
This masterpiece belong to pink period.
During this period Picasso lived near a circus, because of this he often painted workers of the circus like acrobats, clowns…
Since he moved to Paris, he started to make paintings with colours more light and happy.
At the beginning of pink period, Picasso painted characters with the same class society that had the characters of blue period.
“Familia de acróbatas con mono” belong to the beginning of the period because the family are acrobats. They work at the circus and they had a low class society.
