Descripción:
This masterpiece, “La persistencia de la memoria”, measure 24 cm high and 33 cm wide.
Dalí used oil on cardboard to make it.
This painting is one of the most importants of Dalí´s masterpieces. It
is in the Museum of Modern Art in New
York .
The colours used in it are dark but at the bottom we can see a sunrise
painted with bright colours. Dalí had used dark colours like black, brown or
red and bright colours like orange, yellow or white.
The shapes aren´t realistic, the melt clocks for example. This shapes
are painted with details and shadows but in the other hand, this shapes aren´t
the real form that the objects have.
In the painting we can see a dry landscape, three melt clocks, a white
horse and ant the bottom a blue sea and a cliff.
Dalí painted his dreams. This is one of these.
Because of this, the painting is surrealism and it haven´t many real
elements.
Dalí said that his dreams were things without meaning like all dreams.
But many experts are against with it, they said that the masterpiece reflects
the most important preoccupation of the man of the 20th century, the
space-time.
“La persistencia de la memoria” transmit to me a sense of peace but this
peace is strange and it could be desapear in each moment.
